Kristiansand Symfoniorkester i Kilden teater og konserthus søker en vikar som nestgruppeleder til vår bratsjgruppe som består av syv bratsjister. Som ansatt i Kristiansand symfoniorkester vil du bli en del av et er et spennende og engasjert orkester med 68 musikere. Vår sjefdirigent er Julian Rachlin. Under sesongen dirigerer i tillegg blant andre Eivind Aadland, Andris Poga, Gemma New, Lio Kuokman, Leonard Slatkin, Joana Carnerio og Sascha Goetzel. Orkesteret lager abonnementsserier, barne- og familiekonserter, så vel som cross-over-, outreach- og kammerproduksjoner. KSOs hovedarena er Konsertsalen med 1180 sitteplasser og åpnet i 2012.
Vår nestgruppeleder skal ut i permisjon og vi søker hans etterfølger.
Stillingen er et vikariat fra 1. februar – 21. desember 2025.
Prøvespillet gjennomføres i Kilden teater og konserthus, Sjølystveien 2, 4610 Kristiansand, onsdag 15. januar 2025.
Til prøvespillet i januar kreves:
- Stamitz eller Hoffmeister 1. sats uten kadens
- Bartok eller Walton 1. sats
- Grieg, morgenstemning
- Mahler fra symf nr. 10
- Mozart fra Tryllefløyten
- Brahms, fra 5. og 7. Haydn Variasjonene
- Copland, Appalachian Spring

KSO announces the following vacancy: Assistant Principal Viola, substitute
The Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (at Kilden Performing Arts Centre) is seeking a substitute Associate Principal Viola for our viola section, which consists of seven violists. As part of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, you will join a dynamic and dedicated ensemble of 68 musicians. Our Chief Conductor is Julian Rachlin, and throughout the season, guest conductors include Eivind Aadland, Andris Poga, Gemma New, Lio Kuokman, Leonard Slatkin, Joana Carnerio, and Sascha Goetzel. The orchestra presents several subscription series, children’s and family concerts, as well as crossover, outreach, and chamber productions. KSO’s main venue, which opened in 2012, is the Concert Hall with 1,180 seats.
This is a temporary position from February 1st to December 21st, 2025.
Gross salary subject to years of experience: NOK 665 152-739 273 due to seniority.
Auditions will take place at Kilden Performing Arts Centre, Sjølystveien 2, 4610 Kristiansand, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

- Stamitz or Hoffmeister, 1st movement without cadenza
- Bartók or Walton, 1st movement
- Grieg, «Morning Mood»
- Mahler from Symphony No. 10
- Mozart from The Magic Flute
- Brahms, from Haydn Variations (5th and 7th)
- Copland, Appalachian Spring
